Reptar is a cropped hair, skinny jeans wearing girls wet dream hailing from the wonderful indie dance ridden state of Georgia. here truly is no easy way to describe the foursome, which makes them all the greater. In as few words as possible Reptar’s sound is an original blend of colorful, schizo avant-pop polished with synthesizers, animated vocals and samples. Athens, Ga.’s Quiet hooves is a 12-piece minimal pop band led by songwriter Julian Bozeman, who released their debut album to national acclaim last year. Their songs navigate the expanding territories of pop music with a vibrating palette of over 200 independent sound-voices. ‘Saddle Up’ is a spinning funnel of disintegrating and ever-renewing chamber funk and synth-pop.
